Avi Shai

Avi Shai is an executive, leadership and organizational coach andconsultant that brings a successful track record of over three decades as an engineering leader of larger teams with companies such as Google (Cloud, Search), VMware, NICE and as a co-founder and engineering leader of smaller startup teams. He brings a unique depth of experience in building teams and leading them to deliver high quality products that meet their users needs in a predictable and productive way. He couples this experience with a passion for mentoring and coaching that supports individuals and organizations/teams in their journey of becoming high performing and user-focused.

Avi navigated his teams through some of tech history’s pivotal moments. Tough times like the 1999Internet bubble burst and the 2008 recession; Times of change such as the transition to work from home due to the pandemic, and times of great evolutionary changes such as the move to the cloud, the adoption of virtualization technologies have this in common: Unless you mastered the multiple aspects of leadership, execution and compassion effectively, you and your team are in trouble. For teams and organizations, Avi’s strength is in supporting leaders' development and bringing clarity to goals to improve execution and increase productivity, velocity and customer satisfaction.

Avi was born in Israel and has been living in California for more than 20 years. Married with two sons that combine the love of music with computer science, Avi enjoys diving in the big blue sea and listening to classical music.
