Future, a digital personal training start-up with over 220 employees, needed to hone management skills to enhance client experience and drive key business metrics. Using Elevate frameworks and videos, Future crafted a tailored program for ongoing development and effectiveness. Designing a 15-week accelerated training program to meet the team’s specific needs allowed them to build skills in the right areas at the right time.

”The trainings that I built out for these hour-long workshops were all based on the facilitator guides and the discussion guides, and they were meant to be incredibly interactive and less of me talking and much more of the managers talking.

Elyse began by surveying managers to identify areas for improvement, using the data to create a customized curriculum. The program featured weekly workshops, pre-workshop videos, and role-play homework, focusing on practical management skills such as accountability, communication, team trust, and performance management.

The bite-sized videos and interactive workshops enabled the immediate application of concepts.

”Using these videos gave us a really nice framework that we weren't just developing from scratch,” said Elyse. “It gave us all a very common language to use.”

To maintain momentum and reinforce training, the Future squad plans to conduct biweekly peer-led sessions where team leads teach each other leadership skills.

“After the 15 weeks, we just found so much success in it and that the managers were getting so much benefit out of it. We decided to keep it going, so now we're continuing to do it, but we're doing it on a bi-weekly cadence instead.“
