Molly DeShazo

Coach

As a manager, Molly learned that people are her passion. She also learned that we all get stuck. As an executive coach, Molly supports leaders to stretch beyond their conditioned thinking, relating, and problem-solving patterns. Together, they identify blind spots, uplevel performance, navigate transitions, and account for their whole selves. No matter the area of focus, Molly helps clients to close the gap between values and action, strengthen emotional intelligence, and drive for effective outcomes.

Molly built her career in ambiguous, lightning-fast environments, leading and scaling global teams at early Uber and Facebook, and at the venture capital firm, Accel. No stranger to hyper-growth and pressure, Molly has navigated herself and teams through change, led for results, and managed with empathy. And, most importantly, she has even negotiated with Beyonce.

Molly holds a BS in Communication from Boston University College of Communication. She is an accredited executive coach from Columbia University and certified Everything DiSC. She’s trained in Positive Intelligence and Psychological Safety. Molly’s childhood nickname was “death-by-questions” because she is deeply curious. Currently, that curiosity is pointed at learning how to open-water swim and relearning French.

"Over the course of my career I've experienced many forms of leadership, team, and executive coaching. Molly excels at the most important aspects of coaching: her ability to listen deeply, ask tough questions, and provide the right (and varied) forms of stimulus, techniques, and approaches to experiment with. Every session feels like a gift -- time well spent that increases my clarity, purpose, and motivation to do and be better."

“Molly has been an invaluable unlock for our executives and team! Her approach is incredibly flexible to fit the needs of the individuals which provides comfort and ease for clients to tackle their personal goals. Her style strikes the perfect balance between direct yet approachable where she provides pragmatic advice/solutions while also providing the tools to "do it yourself" in a judgment-free space. This allows her role to feel like less of a crutch and more of a value-add lever in your toolbox. Since Molly has experience as both an operator and coach, her feedback and advice feel more authentic than academic which resonates with leaders.. Her superpower is unlocking potential for leaders at various levels from directors to c-suite! Highly recommend partnering with Molly!”
