Nirvana's Challenge

Nirvana Insurance experienced rapid growth, scaling from 70 to 150 employees in a short period, and is on track to reach 250 employees by year end. This expansion meant a tripling of managers, going from 10 to 33, which created a pressing need for leadership training.

Sarah Royer, People Operations Lead, saw an opportunity to create a common management language to set Nirvana up to scale. Nirvana's Manager Development Program

  • Elevate provided a pre-program survey to capture manager and direct report feedback used to inform key development areas.
  • Nirvana managers participated in Elevate facilitated 60-minute monthly training sessions mapped to the key areas.
  • Nirvana executives rotated attending sessions to underscore the importance of each topic, communicate expectations and create a unified vision across the organization.

Nirvana’s Manager Program Success

To assess the impact of their manager training, Sarah Royer leveraged surveys and used the Employer Net Promoter Score (eNPS) to track feedback, knowledge retention, and behavior changes.

Survey responses revealed significant improvements in key areas following sessions spanning nine months, from May 2024 to January 2025:
