Originally from Santa Marta, Colombia, Leo is driven by the idea that talent is everywhere but opportunity is not, and it’s up to organizations and leaders to set the conditions that unlock the potential in their people.

He brings varied experience from leading teams in multicultural advertising sales, business operations, and learning & development over 8 years at Google, where he designed an award winning leadership program and consulted with hundreds of executives on team effectiveness. He is currently the co-founder of The Leadership Supply Company, a boutique consulting shop that specializes in early manager curriculum development and team effectiveness.

Previous to Google, Leo served in the US Army as an infantry officer and has successfully led teams in volatile environments, including a combat deployment. He was also one of the first Hispanic commanders of the U.S. Army Drill Team.

He earned his BS from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point & his MA in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, where he wrote about new manager transitions. He is certified in the Hogan instrument, FIRO-B assessment, and PROSCI change practitioner.
